Q.   I’ve just used your fix for the download problem from question 4 which worked a treat however I am now unable to see my Intranet site. Help?

A.   What you need to do is to add your intranet servers name to the Internet Explorer exceptions. You do this as follows:-

Open Internet Explorer select the Tools menu then Internet Options from the dropdown box. Now click the Connections tab and you will see something similar to the screen shot below.



Click the LAN Settings button and you will see the following box



Click the advanced tab and you will see the following screen.



Enter the name or IP address of your intranet server into the Exceptions box. In the above example I have used the name myintranetserver. Make sure you separate the entries with a semi-colon. Click OK to save your settings and it should now work fine.

Return To Menu
