Q.   I’ve added my local web server to the Exceptions box in Internet Explorer so I should be able to see my Intranet site but it seems to be ignoring these settings?

A.   You may be experiencing the problem with Internet Explorer truncating the exceptions after a forward slash in an exception line. In the screen shot below all settings after the forward slash character are ignored. Simply ensure that the exception containing the forward slash is at the end of your list of exceptions will restore correct operation of Internet Explorer.
