Products & Services: Video Conferencing
LLN can offer video conferencing facilities to schools connected to the Star Network. Video conferencing provides excellent benefits for schools, increasing communication and saving time and money associated with travelling. It can be used for pupils to collaborate with other schools in the UK and overseas and can even be used for administrative meetings.We are also investigating the use of video conferencing to enable collaboration between families of schools, including providing support for multi-way video conferencing.
We now have several schools testing the video conferencing facilities and hope to expand this in the future.
Click-To-Meet
Click-To-Meet Video Conference Client allows you to Video Conference to all other members of Leeds Learning Network who have access to the Click-To-Meet client for free.
To connect to the Click-To-Meet Client you would need a user account and password which has to be created by Leeds Learning Network.

National Video Conferencing via JANET
This technology will enable video conferencing via JANET (Joint Academic Network) without incurring costs. However this only applies if it is at another broadband connection site outside Leeds Learning Network. If you are Video Conference to an ISDN connection (or dial up) you may incur a price of a phone call. This will result in supporting and advancing the UK's education and research network. This technology is currently being developed.
