Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night is set to go off with a real bang this year as six spectacular community firework displays and bonfires will be held on Monday 5th November 2007, organized by Leeds City council, sponsored by Ventura and Magic 828 and one lucky person will get the chance to light the largest bonfire at Roundhay Park.

To enter the “Light the Roundhay Bonfire” competition, hosted by Leeds City Council in partnership with Magic 828. Simply contact the Magic 828 Answerphone and let Glenn Pinder, Magic 828 presenter, why they or someone they know should light the bonfire. The name of the winner will be announced on Friday 23 October 2007.

Free events will be held at Roundhay Park, East End Park, Bramley Park, Woodhouse Moor, Middleton Park and Springhead Park in Rothwell with traditional bonfires and fireworks for all the family to enjoy.

Bonfires will be lit at Middleton Park, East End Park, Woodhouse Moor Park, Bramley Park and Springhead Park (Rothwell) at 7pm, with fireworks beginning at 7:30pm. The bonfire at Roundhay Park, traditionally the biggest-attended display in Leeds, will be hosted by Magic 828 presenters Glenn Pinder and Nick Babb and will be lit at 7:30pm with the fireworks starting at 8pm.


Breeze on Tour

The free annual roadshow includes an Entertainment Zone to show off skills and dance mats, karaoke and playstation, a special performance stage, games tents and a cinema tent.

An Activity Zone focusing on sport, play, art, challenges and an information and chill-out area. And the Art Zone including drumming sessions, special effects scars, Zulu dancing, Indian dance and music, jewellery workshops, beauty, DJ workshops and video making, bun decorating in the Marvellous Tea Shed, craft workshops, graffiti art and Radio Aire's Media School.

Alongside the Breeze on Tours there are also Mini-Breezes at smaller venues running for a day each.

Tipi Tribe

Tipi Tribe Join our Tribe Every Wednesday

A five week play scheme for 8 - 13 year olds with a Leeds postcodes running on Wednesdays throughout August 2007. Cost £10 per day.

Chance to try out Mask Making and Tribal Body Art, Drumming and Den Building, Totem Poles and Tracking, Survival Skills and Willow Weaving.

Parental Consent forms needs completing and returning with cheque/payment. Book in advance and to get a booking form on (0113) 2645535. Credit card payment accepted.
