About Leeds Learning Network: Introduction
Leeds Learning Network provides secure, filtered Internet and email services to schools, libraries and learning centres across Leeds.
Upgrade to the Learning Platform
The beginning of 2009 will see the introduction of the upgraded learning platform to pilot schools in Leeds. Working together with our delivery partner, Synetrix, we’ve created an enhanced learning environment centred on e-learning functionalities and assessment for learning tools. These improvements will allow learners, teachers and other groups to have access to a more effective teaching and learning environment.

Microsoft Release Leeds Learning Platform Case Study
Leeds Learning Network and our customers have been chosen as the latest subject for one of Microsoft’s education case studies.
The case study was launched at the 2008 BETT conference and focuses on the fantastic achievements and developments experienced with the authority wide implementation of the Leeds Learning Platform.

Star Network
Most schools in Leeds are now connected to the Star Network. The network provides all schools with 10mbps connections (some secondary schools are even able to enjoy 100mbps) and allows them to meet DCSF targets. Star also provides all schools with a secure link to Janet and to the National Education Network (NEN).
