About Leeds Learning Network: Accreditation
The Leeds Learning Network (LLN) has achieved the prestigious British Education Communications and Technology Agency (BECTa) award for Internet provision.
The award recognises the high standards of Internet safety provided by the LLN for the entire learning community in Leeds. The Leeds Learning Network is the only LEA provided ISP to achieve the award for three consecutive years.
BECTa accreditation requires months of rigorous testing and evaluation to ensure that successful ISP’s meet minimum safety standards to protect learners from unsuitable Internet access. This includes standards for email and Internet filtering, anti-virus and anti-Spam software and ensuring that email addresses protect pupils’ anonymity.
